LATIN JAZZ, WORLD BEAT, BIG BAND or whatever you want to label it, Roberto Ocasio's Latin Jazz Project has finally come out with their first CD release, titled "Algo Para Ti (Something Just for You)" and it was worth the wait. Mixing an infectious blend of salsa, mambo, funk, fusion and rhythm and blues, Ocasio's sound keeps you movin' and groovin' from start to finish. This years winner in the Free Times Music Awards for best Jazz group shows why he has been asked to share the stage with national artists such as Eddie Palmieri, Nestor Torres, Humberto Ramirez, and Arturo Sandoval percussionist, Eugie Castrillo. The eight-piece orchestra gives that big band sound to the Latin beat, helping this CD to cross over to both jazz and world music lovers.

LIVE APPEARANCES:

The group has played many of the major venues in the Cleveland area including The Tower City Amphitheatre, Nautica, Burke Airport, Severance Hall, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and has the versatility to scale down to a trio or quintet and do an intimate club event. Playing over 200 dates per year, Roberto Ocasio is a well-known regional artist.
