You & Your Health Obesity taking over America Americans refuse to get off the couch. A recent government report says 7 in 10 adults don't regularly exercise and almost 5 in 10 aren't physically active. Nearly two of three adults Americans,60 percent, are overweight or obese. It's easy to see why we have an obesity epidemic. Food is everywhere, advertised on television, radio, calling for you in bright colors from the grocery shelves , roadside billboards, even at the workplace in the vending machines. Obesity just doesn't make a person feel uncomfortable about their appearance, it increases the risk of chronic and deadly cancer, type 2 diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. Obesity may soon overtake tobacco as the number one factor in people's death. This is something that a person can change, save your life by making this change, get up out of the sofa and take a daily walk, change your diet and save your life.

Health Care Refrom Who Needs It?
I went to a doctor office a week ago and the receptionist asked me if I had insurance, I replied that I didn't. She replied to me that I would have to pay up front $145.00 in order to be seen by the doctor. I DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY, so I had to leave the doctors office. I have friends that just don't go, they just suffer. This is America, I don't understand why we can't take care of our people who need help with their health. We pay taxes to take care of the roads and that doesn't seem be a problem with anyone, but we can't see that peoples health is more important than a highway. What happened to common sense? Just a thought for visitors.
